Let’s be clear, as a resident of Wales, I support Scottish (and Welsh) Independence for the reasons explained HERE. I might add, that with Scotland heavy net takers from the Union, in terms of tax and spend, the rest of us would be much better off if the jocks buggered off as soon as possible. Having said all of that, the demands from Nicola Sturgeon and her inner circle for a new vote should be exposed for what they are, part of a scandalous cover up.

If sexual harassment and rape are to be tackled seriously then those stepping forward must be believed. But equally those making untruthful allegations must be named, shamed and punished. Such folks damage the cause of equality and liberation immeasurably. And that brings us to the rape of the reputation of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who will hopefully be a Supreme court justice by the weekend.

If there is one man who deserves a New Year's honour in 2018 it is the veteran LGBT and free speech campaigner Peter Tatchell. He will not be on a list packed with airhead celebs, sporting cheats, party donors and professional arse-lickers to the establishment. For, like me, Tatch is a Republican and so has refused honours for that reason and because he, rightly, views the system as rotten and corrupt.

Boy did the liberal media love the defeat of GOP Candidate Roy Moore in the Alabama special election for the Senate. John Snow on Channel 4 Fake News described Alabama as the state that helped make Trump President. Le Monde described it as a referendum on Trump. After years of pretending they knew nothing the big names of Hollywood have taken action - Harvey Weinstein has been booted out of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organisers of the Oscars. That will come as a relief to Roman Polanski (refuses to answer charges of child sex abuse) and Bill Cosby (a spot of bother with sexual harassment allegations) as neither will now have to rub shoulders with Weinstein. Polanski and Cosby retain their memberships.
